Create About, Contact and information pages
Create the page record in Shopify, then assign an appropriate page template. Add sections such as Brand story, Image with text, Rich text, FAQ or Contact form in the theme editor. Use a separate template when only one page needs a special arrangement. Add the published page to a menu to make it discoverable.
Set up a Journal
- Create a blog and publish articles in Shopify. Journal is a storefront label; the theme editor still uses Blog and Article controls.
- Add Article list to the homepage or another compatible template.
- Set Article source to Blog for the blog feed, or Manual articles for a curated selection. Select the blog or articles and set Maximum articles.
- Choose a desktop Layout and Mobile layout. Horizontal scroll avoids a long stacked list on smaller screens.
- Open an article template to set Desktop article width and table-of-contents behavior. Review a real long article and the spacing before the footer.
Make article comments optional
The Comments block controls whether the theme displays that area on the article template. Shopify’s blog comment settings also determine whether comments are allowed or moderated. To hide the area, remove the Comments block; to enable it, configure both the block and the blog setting. Test on the article page rather than assuming a block creates a moderation service.
Build a useful FAQ
- Add FAQ and create one FAQ item block per question.
- Choose Single column or Two columns (desktop), then select Plain, Divided or Cards for the item style.
- Use Content width for the desktop reading width. Mobile content uses the available container width.
- Decide whether Open first item suits the page. Test each disclosure using a keyboard and a phone.
Write policy answers from your actual business rules. Demo delivery and returns copy is only a starting point; it should not introduce unconfirmed delivery times, fees or return periods.
